I know, the router do not recognize the LAN from/through a Mac OS X 7.2. The problem that the router factory should solve, not we or Apple.

I had – not working.

But now I find a way: through the Wi-Fi, I was able to configure the router. First I made the changes with the iPhone, is working.

But still not work through LAN – PPPoE – Ethernet.

Please try another DNS server ( see the picture)….. or install the latest firmware for your router!

Hello!
I have the same problem with ALICE IAD WLAN 4421 and Mac OS X 7.2 on a MacMiniServer

On Mac in Safari, Chrome, FireFox:
192.168.1.1 – not working
alice.box – not working

I have no more idea how to connect to the router.
Internet work, phone calls works to but I can not see the alice informations ‘in’ the router.

On PC in IE, FireFox:

192.168.1.1 – works well
alice.box – works well

Where should be the problem?

Unfortunately you need a internet connection to update the firmware! Do you have a connection between your computer and the Alice router?

Hi Fred,
After installing the new firmware you have to set up your DNS server address to its former value like 192.168.1.1

following your instructions, I’ve always been able to connect my MacBook (Mac OS X 10.6) to the internet using a router Alice…but now it’s not working anymore!Does the OS need a new configuration, maybe after the release of the new firmware version?Thanks!

das problem war anscheinennd der alte router! mit neuem router den mir alice hat zukommen lassen läuft alles reibungslos!

die DNS Adresse musst du nur auf dem Mac ändern und eventuell, sofern vorhanden, auf dem iPhone und iPad.

Sitze seit zwei Tagen dran, und wollt schon völlig verzweifeln.
Nu muss aber auf allen Geräten der DNS Server geändert werden, oder?
Also, auch auf dem Windowsrechner?
